It A Round Trip

It A Round Trip

"It’s a round trip. Getting to the summit is optional, getting down is mandatory." — Ed Viestures
I started climbing pretty young, in my early 20’s- big walls, waterfall ice and mountaineering and now at 47 I can say; there has been a profound happiness too great to be described in words, and there have been mishaps and disappointments upon which I have not dared to ponder too deeply, and with these in mind I say, climb if you will, but remember that prowess and fortitude are naught without vigilance, forethought and reasoning, and that a momentary laxity may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in impatience, look well and careful to each step, and from the beginning think what may be the end.

I would like to start by thanking my 9 month daughter Amihan for giving me a the extra tune in my focus. For me there was no greater goal than to make it home and see be with my daughter. I would like to thank my wife Janet our team leader for her courage, strength, and caution towards safety, kindness and always having the right advice at the right time.

I am indebted to John blanks, my mentor in climbing- who taught me that climbing was to climb another day- make every move solid, lay proper protection and always do it right.

This expedition would not be possible without the following sponsors : REGATTA, GET UP, LAGALAG, HABAGAT, MESSY BESSY, SYCURE, GALILEO, SANDUGO, WISAR GROUP thank you for putting your valuable time and resource into this expedition. I appreciate your support more than I can say.
